Nature Journaling at Korohusk Cabin
Description
Join Barb Johnson on a 6-mile hike (round trip) and explore the joy of observing, journaling, sketching, and painting nature. Discover how your awareness and appreciation increases! It’s not about the art, it’s about connecting and observing things in detail. No experience necessary. Barb will go over materials and provide a short introduction to supplies before we head out from the Eagle River Nature Center. Then, plan to hike out to the Korohusk Cabin, looking at plants along the way, exploring as we go. After we arrive at the cabin, we will have lunch and spend time out there focusing on the use of art to observe nature more closely. Barb will lead activities to practice skills that will encourage you to connect more closely to your surroundings by nature journaling. Bring a lunch, water, comfortable hiking shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather and suggested nature journaling supplies below. A day pack is useful to carry everything in.
**It will take about an hour and 30 minutes to hike out to the cabin and another hour and 30 minutes to hike back after the workshop.
